For more than 13 years, our 10-acre food distribution campus in Homosassa, Florida has served as the hub for getting nutritious food out to several thousands of individuals throughout the Nature Coast facing food insecurity. This is where our shelves are stocked, our distribution programs are organized, our trucks are loaded, unloaded, and dispatched, and where our partner agencies acquire the food and resources they need to deliver quality services to the individuals and families they serve.
Through our Grill Our Bill campaign, we hope to pay off the remaining balance on our mortgage – at total of $365,000. This will allow us to re-allocate funds towards purchasing more fresh produce, meats, dairy and other nutritious food while continuing to expand our outreach efforts.
It’s easy to think of a mortgage payment as just another administrative hurdle, but when it comes to the Community Food Bank, every dollar directed toward this debt is a dollar that unlocks future potential.
